Myself and my husband Alistair spent a lovely weekend in Geneva...it was great fun to go skiing and the views were absolutely beautiful! I love this weather.....it gives me a chance to swathe myself in layers of beautiful cashmere, I so love that cozy look. I wanted to share with you some of the photos we took during our weekend away....
We were snowed in , in Verbier...it was marvellous! This is a first, in all the years I have been here. The great thing about Verbier, the roads are always passable so after a very efficient clearing job we were able to get out with chains on the car wheels. It was an amazing site to see all this snow...a couple of feet of snowfall overnight and it was still snowing hard the next day! This is certainly a good sign for the ski season!!
The air feels fresh and everything is sparkling and twinkling in the snow and frost. The only problem is it isn't very practical. Everything in Edinburgh has come to a standstill and the elderly are at risk of having a bad fall in dangerous icy conditions like these. I have told my parents under no circumstances to go outside for fear of them falling. Scotland has had it badly and the authorities have unfortunately done a poor job. So many people were stuck on our main motorway for hours on end with no help at hand, I live in London the majority of the time so have been watching the chaos from afar.
