My Trip to Miami

Just last week I got back from my trip to Miami, it was fast and furious but such fun! Every year myself and my school friends whom I've known since the age of 5 meet up for a few days! We did the whole growing up thing together and we have quite a bond between us. We are all a bit crazy and love to let our hair down. As we all are scattered around the world now, we choose a different location to get together each year and for 2010, we chose Miami!

In Miami the main event was a 30 mile cycle from Miami Beach to Key Biscayne and back again, it was just fabulous! We also took a boat out and spent a day at the famous Nikki Beach.....we did look a bit like old rockers though! I stayed in the Shore Club, a bit too on the minimal side for me, I like to have more comforts, I don't really get this minimal and stark look!! Though I also do not like clutter...I think I would describe my style as simple and sophisticated!...please excuse my Miami sweat shirt!

If you want to get away for a warm and sunny Christmas holiday, Miami is the perfect place to go!

Hi all..

I have finally decided to start a blog, so here it goes! I would like to share many things with my customers. In particular I will keep you informed about what is happening at Belinda Robertson - our collections,events and any new ventures we are involved in. I will be talking about the fashion trends that inspire me, the styles that I love to follow, the places I travel to, and the restaurants, hotels, bars and cafes I visit each week. I lead a fast and active life just like many of you. I travel most weeks between our home in Fife , Scotland to our Central London flat via our Edinburgh Boutique and our London showroom in the City

My first love is sport...cycling, swimming, pilates all of which I manage to do every week; it is possible if you get up early enough!

When I'm not being active, I go out to lots of fun restaurants and bars, and apart from spending most of my time and sharing my interests with my fabulous husband I have some great fun girlfriends.I'm always on the look out for new fun things to do...let me know if you have any suggestions!!. I have a list to work through, next I have decided to take up kayaking, we have a house on the sea which makes it an easy sport for us to try.....have even talked the husband Alastair into it!.......big question is do we buy 2 single kayaks or a double one??

I decided to create this blog because I wanted to establish a closer relationship between myself and you all- my customers and soon to be customers! I hope you will all find some enjoyment and interest in my new blog! We have some fab features coming up very soon, which we are sure you will love, including some gorgeous Christmas gift ideas, our Christmas events and the launch of our new 'outlet' website and Cashmere Barn.
